Hawaiian cruises are by and large the next best thing to…nothing. They are the best. Norwegian Cruise Lines’ (NCL) Pride of Hawaii is one of the best options for those who want to make the most of their vacation.

One of the newest ships on the waters, The Pride of Hawaii, launched in 2006 and is equipped to entertain and delight 2,224 passengers. These are professionally pampered by a crew of 1,000. This ship’s 12 modern decks have roomier accommodations than most of its passengers are likely to find on shore.

Travel is always more enjoyable when the meals are varied. With Pride of Hawaii’s 11 restaurants, all offering different approaches to cuisine, it is impossible to get bored with the food. Casual to elegant, there is something for every taste and time of day. If a passenger decides to stay in his/her cabin, that’s fine too because of the 24-hour room service.

No mention of entertainment is complete without acknowledging that this ship is sailing in Hawaiian waters. The view alone is the big drawing card. But there is more to do than sleep in a deck chair or swim in the deck pool. The spa is one of the most complete anywhere with massage, whirlpool and fitness machines.

Shore excursions are, of course, taken to paradise. Hawaii has endless views and entertainments but the most popular is sunsets behind palm trees. Anything else is sort of available in Milwaukee so why waste time with it?

But don’t stop your research into Hawaiian Cruises with the NCL ships. There are lots of lines offering this destination and lots of variables to consider. Take a lot of snowy Milwaukee days to day-dream and plan before booking this vacation. Hawaii is an expensive destination and as with any big ticket item, caution is advised. Do your homework. Look at all the websites and look over all the brochures. Then Aloha!
