Cruise ship weddings have a very good claim to fame. They take all of the work out of planning a wedding. As a silver lining effect: more of the wedding dollars go into the honeymoon! These are idea for a couple who really wants a nice wedding and even nicer honeymoon but doesn’t have a long guest list. These cruise ship weddings can be tailored to accommodate people with more extensive guest lists though, especially in shore side or beach variants.
A couple could book one of these in a location that is affordable for guests to reach and still take advantage of cruise ship weddings. At first gasp the price tag looks a bit high but they really weigh in pretty competitively with traditional wedding services. These packages offer most of the basic accouterments of a nice ceremony but they make the planning greatly scaled back.
They typically offer gown & tux rental, Champaign, flowers, hors d’oeurves, cake, music, marriage license service, preacher, pictures or video. Some of the more elaborate extras cost more but the price and convenience are pretty much on an even keel. Many cruise lines offer beach weddings in convenient locations that allow friends and relatives to book cruise passage for the wedding. Florida and Texas beach weddings are pretty affordable destinations. It may seem like a lot to ask the wedding party to pay for a cruise to watch your wedding vows but look a little closer at this option. If they are likely to spend an equal amount on a similar trip then maybe this is something that they would actually enjoy.
Maybe the only question is, “where does everyone want to go?” It is just possible that most everyone who would be invited to the wedding is looking for something to do on vacation. Attending your beach wedding just might be the unique vacation that they have been looking for.
